1953 Special Riviera - Model 45RChuck's favorite toy is a 1953 Special Riviera - Model 45R. It still has the straight 8 with Dynaflow transmission and a 6 volt electrical system. He has made some improvements in key areas to make it more reliable, such as the cooling system, the brakes, along with a rebuilt engine and differential.The car has been lowered about 3 inches using drop spindles up front and shorter coil springs in the rear. The previous owner had it for 19 years and only drove it 800 miles! The total mileage on the car was only 78000 when Chuck bought it in July 2000. He (wisely) decided to give it to his wife for her birthday so "he" could keep it.
