These are the Buicks owned by Mike and Debbie Rowand. They also maintain a
personal website with details on all their cars at
http://www.rowand.net/Shop/Cars.
1958 Special Riviera
Mike purchased this car from the club as a present for Debbie. It has gone
through a number of smaller projects as we sorted out what we actually wanted
to do with it. At this time is has nearly all of the trim and interior removed
(to asses the extent of the rust problems) and is awaiting some minor
mechanical and electrical improvements before we get the body re-done. All of
the trim is marked and safely stored away until it's time to clean, repair,
and re-install it.
Our overall goal for this car is to visually restore it to almost original
condition while performing some minor upgrades to the mechanical side of
things. Some additions will be factory options than we want to add to the car
(AC, power windows, and aluminum front drums) and others will be later-model
additions (401 engine with alternator). It will still be all-Buick.

1970 Electra Convertible
This is Mike's latest toy. It was purchased with some spare money that Mike
came into to fulfill the dream of owning a convertible. It's big, red, fast,
and fun. It also sat for many years before I purchased it, and as such has a
number of things that needed to be done to it, with some still not being
completed.

1973 Electra
This is Mike's original toy and the car that got him hooked on Buicks. The
eventual goal for this car is a somewhat customized Buick, but done with as
many Buick parts as possible to give it a tasteful set up upgrades to the
mechanicals and to the visuals. The heart of the car will be a seriously
beefed up 455, possibly with fuel injection. The overall goal for the car is
performance - both in a straight line and in the corners - with comfort and
style. The focus here will be on high speed performance. Mike wants to run
this car to be capable of safely achieving a 150+ mph top speed with the AC on
and four adults in it - an all-Buick answer to all the German cars engineered
for the Autobahn.
